Málaga — Custom brand font
Málaga is increasingly capturing international attention, driven by its ambitious current and future commitments. To capitalize on this momentum, the Málaga City Council and Promálaga spearheaded the creation of a new city brand designed to elevate the city’s global relevance and aspirational appeal.
This initiative reimagines Málaga’s narrative to compete effectively in a landscape defined by digital nomads and global talent: Málaga, the all-round city.
To encapsulate Málaga’s unique spirit, we designed Málaga Sans, a display typeface available in Regular and Bold weights. This contemporary sans-serif font features a deliberate contrast between terminals and stems, where circular and square shapes converge to symbolize the city’s vital balance.
Conceived to bridge the gap between local warmth and global sophistication, the typeface offers a versatile visual language that allows the brand to adopt a tone that is simultaneously formal and fresh, ensuring seamless adaptation across any communication context.
